‘First Wednesdays’ Volunteer Education at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site
All are invited to the monthly meeting of the Indianapolis Ambassadors! Benjamin Harrison, the 23rd president of the United States, came from a prominent Virginia family and was the grandson of U.S. President William Henry Harrison. Harrison was elected to the presidency in 1888, ousting Grover Cleveland. He lost the presidency to Cleveland a tumultuous four years later.
The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site is the former President Harrison. It is in the Old Northside Historic District. Harrison's 16-room house was built from 1874 to 1875. Join the Indy Ambassadors as we step into history and learn about his fascinating legacy.
