I moved to Indianapolis in July 2021 to live near family, after a career in the computer industry that provided the opportunity to travel and live in Europe and Australia. I joined Indy Ambassadors to engage with interesting people and "give back", while enjoying the cultural and entertainment and historical aspects of Indianapolis and the region. I was born in St. Louis, and we moved to the Chicago suburbs when I was 12. I attended U of I at Champaign, before starting my career as a Computer & Information Technology business Development / Sales executive. In retirement, I have resumed painting... mainly portraits and landscapes. I am also a grandmother to three wonderful children.
I have been a Board Member serving as the Director of Public Relations for the Indianapolis Ambassadors since 2019. I am a member of the Black Engineering Society, Sigma Alpha Pi, American Chemical Society, and on the Indianapolis Circle City Committee. To keep myself sane, I like to go to the movies, snorkel, scuba dive, camp, bike ride and read murder mysteries (my favorite author is James Patterson). My favorite volunteer opportunities through Indianapolis Ambassadors include working at the Museum by Moonlight Event at the Children's Museum, Various Heartland Film Festival Events, Earth Day, IRT theater, and Judging the Children's' Book Reviews for the Indianapolis Museum.
