Volunteer Ushers Needed for the USA Swimming National Championships – IU Natatorium – June 27th thru July 1st

The IU Natatorium will be the official host this summer of USA Swimming’s National Championships from Tuesday, June 27, through Saturday, July 1.

This event will be USA Swimming’s final National Championship before the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming next summer at Lucas Oil Stadium. We are expecting some of the nation’s top athletes to compete this summer including many on the 2020-21 Olympic Team.

A special invite has been extended to the Indianapolis Ambassadors to serve as ushers for these National Championships. It is the best seat in the house!

Here are our needs that week related to ushers. We need a minimum of 10 ushers (2 would provide relief; there are 8 stations) during each of these time periods (end times are approximate based on length of sessions):

• Tuesday, June 27: 8:15 AM – 12:30 PM and 5:15 PM – 9:30 PM.
• Wednesday, June 28: 8:15 AM – 12:30 PM and 5:15 PM – 9:30 PM.
• Thursday, June 29: 8:15 AM – 12:30 PM and 5:15 PM – 9:30 PM.
• Friday, June 30: 8:15 AM – 12:30 PM and 5:15 PM – 9:30 PM.
• Saturday, July 1: 8:15 AM – 12:30 PM and 5:15 PM – 9:30 PM.

All of our volunteers receive complimentary parking, meals during their shifts, a commemorative meet tee and lots of fond memories.
