Volunteer ushers needed for the Indianapolis Opera’s production of “West Side Story”. This musical, which opened on Broadway in 1957, explores the rivalry between two street gangs, who come from vastly different backgrounds. You will be transported by familiar tunes such as “Somewhere’, “One Hand, One Heart” and “America”, just to name a few!
We need 6 to 8 ushers each night to provide our patrons with the very best customer service experience they have come to expect from us. This is also a wonderful opportunity for YOU to see (free of charge) this amazing production . There will be standing involved, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. The Bicentennial Pavilion is mostly covered, but be sure to dress according to the weather. We would prefer Black bottoms and white tops.
The shows begin at 7:00pm, so we would like our ushers to arrive by 5:30pm. Parking will be paid for by Indianapolis Opera. We will also ask that those who are able , attend a volunteer orientation at the Zoo on Monday, May 5th from 2-4pm.
To volunteer, please contact Kara Davis at Indianapolis Opera. (Phone: 317-283-3531 Email: admin@indyopera.org)
