The historic Feast of Lanterns is returning to Indianapolis on Saturday, August 22, 2026! This magical, community-focused evening is a free, family-friendly celebration that transforms Spades Park into a glowing oasis of light, music, and art.

Join us for the historic Feast of Lanterns—Indianapolis’ favorite late-summer tradition! Spend an evening under the canopy of hundreds of hand-hung, beautifully glowing paper lanterns as we celebrate art, community, and the warmth of late August.

Parking Information

Parking depends on when you are volunteering. Friday and Sunday volunteers can utilize normal on-street parking along the park. Saturday volunteers can try for neighborhood parking or utilize our official parking lots, either the Teacher’s Treasures lot along 10th St or the Factory Arts parking lots. These will be especially good choices if you are volunteering during the festival, or if you don’t plan to leave between your shift and the festival.
