Coats for Kids distribution will be held on November 2 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in the Blue Ribbon Pavilion from 7am-1pm, and is a partnership between The Salvation Army of Central Indiana with Classic Cleaners and WTHR. We need your help to make sure the families who bring their children will leave with a warm winter coat and winter accessories.
We invite you to assist us in one of the following volunteer positions: welcome and check in families, restock coats and accessories, shop with families for children to select a coat, and assist with tear down at the end of the event. Volunteer shift times are approximately three hours between 7am and 3pm, and we are looking for individuals/families/groups to come out and join us. Please note volunteers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult, and volunteers between 6-9 years old will be asked to help restock coats with their parent/guardian/adult.
We are also looking for volunteers to come out and help with set up at the state fairgrounds on October 30 from approximately 3-6pm, October 31 between the hours of 9am-4pm, and November 1 between the hours of 9am-4pm. Volunteer shift times are approximately three hours, and we are looking for individuals/families/groups to come join us. Please note volunteers under 18 years of age much be accompanied by an adult, and the minimum age to volunteer is six years old.
