AES 500 Festival Parade

The AES 500 Festival Parade is one of the largest in the country and is considered one of the top three parades in the United States, along with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. The parade route takes a U-shape down Pennsylvania Street, across Washington Street, and up Meridian Street through Monument Circle. The parade includes floats, marching bands, balloons, local celebrities, and the 33 drivers. Over 200,000 spectators will line the streets of downtown Indianapolis to witness the extravagant floats, enormous helium balloons, renowned figures, esteemed guests, top-notch bands, and all 33 Indy 500 drivers in action.
The 2024 AES 500 Festival Parade will take place on Saturday, May 25, 2024, in downtown Indianapolis. The parade festivities will begin at 11:45 AM, with the parade starting at noon. The parade also can be viewed on WTHR, Channel 13, for Indianapolis audiences and nationally on Peacock.
