500 Festival Rookie Run
Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run

May 11, 2024, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Youngsters Take Over Downtown Indy!

Rookie Run is a non-competitive fun run for children ages 3–10 that takes place annually in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The run is part of the 500 Festival Kids’ Day Fun Run, which aims to promote fitness, healthy living, and community involvement.

Indiana’s youngest runners are hitting the street during the Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run. This allows children the fun opportunity to get active and experience the excitement of a running event, complete with a start and finish line production, cheering section, participant bib, and finisher medal.

The Rookie Run will take place at Kids’ Day, Indiana’s largest free outdoor festival for kids! The Salesforce and JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day attracts thousands to Monument Circle on May 11, featuring over 40 exhibitors and tons of fun, educational and interactive activities.

Rookie Run takes place in downtown Indianapolis, one block north of Monument Circle at Ohio and Meridian streets. Race distances are set based on a child’s age and races will be run in a series of heats to ensure a safe race experience. All participants will receive a goodie bag, a participant bib, and a finisher’s medal – just like the Indy Mini participants!

Online registration will open closer to the event and participants will be able to register online for $10 – which includes a participant t-shirt!

Race-day registration will also be available at the event for $5, with an option to purchase a participant t-shirt for an additional $5 at the DICK’s Sporting Goods Rookie Run Registration Zone. Packet pick-up is available at the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon Expo or at the event.
