White River State Park offers many different volunteer opportunities to fit each groups level of interest. The main projects center around keeping White River clean and trash free. Volunteers can indicate their interest in certain projects ranging from invasive species removal, river clean up, homeless camp clean up, park beautification, and much more. Seasonal changes rotates volunteer work. Please reach out to the White River State Park team with questions about projects currently available. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 AM to 5 PM. One may volunteer the whole day or shorter hours.
Horticulture / Landscaping – Help with native plantings throughout the park or invasive species removal along the urban wilderness trail. Park Beautification – Remove graffiti, clean medians, aid in trash removal, and help clean up the White River.
