Heartland Film
Heartland Film is a nonprofit arts organization that runs the Heartland Film Festival in October, the Academy Award®-Qualifying Indy Shorts Film Festival in July and other year-round programs.
Heartland Film was founded in 1991 with the mission to curate, promote and celebrate thoughtful and engaging films from diverse perspectives. The titles they select and exhibit all have one thing in common: they are films that do more than entertain.
Volunteer Needs
“WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS! Volunteers truly are the heart, face, hands and feet of Heartland Film. It takes hundreds of volunteers to help put on the Heartland International Film Festival, Indy Shorts International Film Festival and year-round programs in all aspects, including the planning of events, working at the theaters and providing our signature Hoosier hospitality for filmmakers and guests. Become a volunteer today by creating a Volunteer Account and selecting your interests.”
