IndyFringe Theatre Festival 2025

Aug 14, 2025, 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM

presented by IndyFringe

August 14 thru 24th

Discover the joy, the magic, and the drama of the IndyFringe Theatre Festival in Indianapolis, presented by Everwise and IF Theatre. This annual celebration of the performing arts transforms the Mass Ave Cultural District for 11 continuous days during the summer and features genre-defying performances of every kind. The IndyFringe Festival is one of the Midwest’s most vital and vibrant arts events, and for our 20th Anniversary, we’re showcasing performances of all kinds from dance to cabaret, and children’s theatre to stand-up comedy with 68+ artists presenting over 250 individual performances.

However, we need your help! With more than 200 volunteer shifts to fill throughout our 11-day festival, we literally can’t do this without you!

Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether or not you’ve attended an IF Theatre production or been to the IndyFringe festival before. If you love being around outgoing and energetic people and supporting the arts while doing it, we’d love to have your help!

Required Training

We’re asking both new and returning volunteers to sign up first for an Orientation at the link above, and then also to sign up for individual shifts. In the event that you can’t make one of the in-person trainings, please reach out to this year’s Volunteer Coordinator, Mike, by sending email to volunteer@indyfringe.org for more information.

Those signing up for Bartender shifts will be required to show proof of a valid State of Indiana-issued Volunteer Bartender license. If you don’t have that license, please reach out to volunteer@indyfringe.org and we can connect you with the right resources to obtain one.

Parking Instructions

As the IndyFringe festival takes place at multiple venues along Mass Ave, there is no designated parking area, and at least some of the most convenient spots do require payment. For more information on parking locations, see pages 18 and 13 of the Festival Program available online here: https://indyfringe.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/IndyFringe-Festival-Program-20th-Anniversary-V-2.3-1.pdf

We recommend that volunteers allot an extra 15-30 minutes to find parking spots and walk to their shift locations, particularly those who might be unfamiliar with the Mass Ave neighborhood.
