Indy Film Fest

The Indy Film Fest is looking for volunteers to help patrons, filmmakers, and other guests attending the Indy Film Fest’s in-person events at theaters in downtown Indianapolis.

All volunteers get an exclusive Indy Film Fest volunteer t-shirt, plus tickets to see films and merchandise.

Volunteer Roles:

• Box Office: Help sell tickets, merchandise, and answer patron questions.
• Ticket Agents: Stationed outside the theater. Scans tickets and passes to make sure patrons make it into the correct theaters.
• Theater Lead: Versatile role that can help out front at the box office or assist back in the theater.
• *Projectionist: Responsible for starting the films, adjusting sound, handling lights. They stay in the theater throughout the whole film and their role cannot overlap with anything else.
• Special Events: Volunteers who help with parties including setup, tear-down, ticket taking, etc.

Here are a couple of items to keep in mind to help you structure your festival experience.

1. We are showing movies at two locations: Kan-Kan Cinema and Dance Kaleidoscope .
2. Shift times may vary depending on where you’re volunteering. This was done to best accommodate you and the theater’s scheduling needs.
3. Projectionist shifts are for those who have been trained in the equipment. If you would like to volunteer in this area, and have not been trained, let them know.
4. There are separate sign-ups for opening and closing night parties. Opening night will be at Mayfair Taproom, and closing night will be at Factory Arts District (formerly Circle City Industrial Complex).
