Coats for Kids Distribution Day
at State Fairgrounds

Coats for Kids distribution will be held on October 14. Thousands of children from across Central Indiana can come on this very special day to pick out a free warm winter coat, scarf, hat, and gloves.
Coats for Kids will be held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in the Blue Ribbon Pavilion from 8am-2pm, and is a partnership between The Salvation Army of Central Indiana with Classic Cleaners and WTHR
We need your help to make sure that the thousands of children who show up will leave with warm winter coats. We invite you to assist us in one of the following various roles: greet families, help check in families, restock coats, help children select a coat, and assist with tear down. Shift times are generally three hours between 7am and 4pm, and we are looking for individuals, families and groups to come out and volunteer with us.

- Receive confirmation email with final details the week before the event (that will contain parking info, position descriptions, etc.)

- Snacks and drinks provided during shift
Volunteer Requirements:
- Under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
- Under 10 years of age will be asked to help in the restock area
