Help Bring Twilight Tales to the Indiana State Museum!
Do you have an inner sasquatch? Now’s your chance to unleash the beast! During select nights this month, a volunteer is needed to play Bigfoot, and another is needed to help check in guests.
There are 2 versions of Twilight Tales this year:
- Twilight Tales: Strange Encounters Join us for a night of fun, mystery and intrigue. Experience the museum in dim lighting – using only a flashlight to guide your way! Discover otherworldly creatures and strange objects hidden within the darkness. Search the nooks and crannies of the gallery spaces for creatures from beyond!
- Twilight Tales: Beyond the Grave: Experience the museum by flashlight as you discover our creepiest and oddest artifacts! As you wander through the galleries, your guide will share the intriguing folklore, myths and stories of objects from beyond the grave. This program is for ages 18+.

- Positions include:
- Check-in Table: Assist in checking in visitors using a roster. Assist with escorting late attendees to the tour group if needed. Pass out flashlights and materials.
- Portraying Bigfoot:
- In Strange Encounters, Bigfoot will be a culprit in a museum mystery. We need someone to dress in costume and portray a silent Bigfoot.
- In Beyond the Grave, Bigfoot is a jump scare. You will dress in our Bigfoot costume and jump out to scare our visitors, with a potential yell/scream. Ambient noises may be available.
