SUMMARY:Habitat ReStore Warehouse Volunteering Nov. 15th and 29th
DESCRIPTION:Muscle is needed at Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore \n“We have received a large commercial donation of build-your-own modular furniture that has been sorted and organized in our warehouse. We are ready to send shipments out to our four store locations and are asking for your help! This volunteer day involves attention to detail and a little bit of muscle! \nYou’ll work through boxes of various couch parts by opening them up and double checking the correct item and all the parts are inside. Sometimes you’ll need to swap out a part or find the right hardware so each box will have what it needs! Then you’ll restack each piece onto a new pallet. The end goal is to have one couch per pallet that will be ready to send to our ReStores to be assembled and sold! \nYour efforts will help turn couches into houses! All proceeds from ReStore benefit Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity as it builds homes\, communities\, and hope for families in need of affordable homeownership. If you’re interested in volunteering\, you can sign up at the link below and please share with a friend! \nThis volunteer opportunity does involve some heavy lifting! We’ll pair you into a team of two people in order to team lift. You will be lifting boxes of around 40lbs+ as we are picking and restacking various couch pieces. We will provide all training\, PPE\, and lunch for the day!” \n>>>> Registration is Required to Participate <<<<\n\nVolunteer Details:\n\nDowntown Indy ReStore Warehouse1011 E 22nd StIndianapolis\, IN\, 46202https://indyrestore.com/\nSeveral volunteers are needed.\n\nDates and Times:\n\nWednesday\, 11/15 and Wednesday 11/20\n10am – 4pm\n\nVolunteer sign-up:\n\nWednesday\, 11/15\nWednesday\, 11/29\n\nVolunteer Requirements:\n\nMust be at least 16 years old.\nMust be able to live 40+ lbs.\n\nFor additional questions\, contact Shana Lewis at (317) 671-7940 or slewis@indyhabitat.org.
