DESCRIPTION:Quest for the West\, our annual art show and sale\, will take place on September 9th and 10th\, and we are looking for volunteers to help out! We will need more than 60 volunteers for this weekend! \nSome of you are already signed up\, and if you are\, feel free to stop reading here. Like we did for our Indian Market and Festival volunteer roles\, we are using Signup.com again to let you sign up for your volunteer spots on your own. Please see the descriptions on the Signup for more information about what you can expect to be doing. \nWhen you click the link below you will be able to see the times and descriptions of each role. \nLink to sign up: https://signup.com/go/PGcPswS \nYou will also see that on September 7th and 8th we are offering training sessions for volunteers. You MUST attend one of the training sessions to be able to volunteer as an artist sales assistant for Quest even if you have volunteered in the past. SUMMARY:Balancing Acts - Indianapolis Ballet
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer with Indianapolis Ballet at our first production of the 2022/23 season\, Balancing Acts\, as a ticket scanner or usher! Balancing Acts is a production that celebrates “the father of American ballet\,” George Balanchine\, through many of his choreographic works. Performances run September 23-25\, 2022 at the Toby at Newfields. As a volunteer\, you will enter Newfields and make your way to the Toby Theater by following signage within the building. There\, you will check in with the Volunteer Coordinator in the main lobby of the theater. \nVolunteers will need to arrive to the theater one hour before the start of each performance. As a ticket scanner\, volunteers will need to have an iPhone or Android with which they can download our ticket scanning app. Seating maps and other important information will be provided once on site. Parking at Newfields is free\, but please be sure to arrive with plenty of time to find parking\, especially for matinee performances. Volunteers will need to arrive dressed in all black or darker colors. Volunteer tags will be provided. Volunteers will need to stay 30 minutes after the current goes up in case patrons arrive late and need to be seated. \nLocation: Newfields\n4000 N. This is the Fest’s 26h year and will take place September 23-24 at Garfield Park. \nOur Volunteer Registration website is now live and we hope that you will be able to join us this year. SUMMARY:Balancing Acts - Indianapolis Ballet
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer with Indianapolis Ballet at our first production of the 2022/23 season\, Balancing Acts\, as a ticket scanner or usher! Balancing Acts is a production that celebrates “the father of American ballet\,” George Balanchine\, through many of his choreographic works. Performances run September 23-25\, 2022 at the Toby at Newfields. As a volunteer\, you will enter Newfields and make your way to the Toby Theater by following signage within the building. There\, you will check in with the Volunteer Coordinator in the main lobby of the theater. \nVolunteers will need to arrive to the theater one hour before the start of each performance. As a ticket scanner\, volunteers will need to have an iPhone or Android with which they can download our ticket scanning app. Seating maps and other important information will be provided once on site. Parking at Newfields is free\, but please be sure to arrive with plenty of time to find parking\, especially for matinee performances. Volunteers will need to arrived dress in all black or darker colors. Volunteer tags will be provided. Volunteers will need to stay 30 minutes after the current goes up in case patrons arrive late and need to be seated. \nLocation: Newfields\n4000 N. DESCRIPTION:Join Indy Ambassadors for a Night of Service at Gleansers Food Bank of Indiana. All Indy Ambassadors and Friends WELCOME TO COME! \nGleaners Food Bank works with a network of more than 300 food pantries\, soup kitchens\, schools\, and community partners to fight against food insecurity in Indiana. The Indy Ambassadors have secured an opportunity to assist them in that mission by working with them during one of them upcoming Food Pantry\, Drive-Thru distributions. Volunteers will load cars with pre-boxed food and direct traffic for the contactless\, drive-thru distribution. \nWhy is this project important? DESCRIPTION:Edna Martin Christian Center will host the 4th Annual Goelzer Investment Management Monopoly Tournament on  Saturday October 22 at the center at 2605 E. 25th St. Indianapolis\, IN from 8:00am – 1:00pm. The event attracts players from around the country\, for fun\, and sometimes intense competition. Volunteer training starts at 8:15am SHARP!!! \nBecause this is an official\, sanctioned tournament\, players may not also act as bankers. Therefore\, each table will need a volunteer banker. I’m planning for 64 competitors\, so that means we’ll need 16 bankers. \nIf you’ve played Monopoly before\, it won’t be hard\, though there are some additional tournament rules.
