SUMMARY:Angel Tree Christmas Assistance Program
DESCRIPTION:Every Christmas there are children lacking life’s vital needs because their families are struggling financially and cannot afford the expense. As you can imagine\, it takes hundreds of volunteer hours to make Angel Tree happen each year. We invite you to consider joining us by coming to volunteer with sorting/inventory in November as well as set up and distribution in December in one of the following ways:\norganize a toy drive\,\naccept gifts being dropped off at one of two locations\,\ninventory and organize gifts during sorting days\,\nhelp parents/guardians select gifts when they come to shop on distribution day\,\nhelp take bags of gifts out to parent/guardian vehicles. \nSorting/inventory will take place on various dates in November and early December at a warehouse in Whitestown followed by set up from December 10-12 and 15 at our Eagle Creek Corps. Distribution will consist of both a shopping experience where families will select gifts as well as bag distribution where families to come pick up gifts selected by donors for the children tentatively scheduled at our Eagle Creek Corps from December 16-19 between 8:30am-6:30pm. \nWe welcome both individual volunteers and groups of volunteers (please note volunteers under 18 years of age must be with a parent/guardian/adult) to help us ensure a successful Angel Tree program at our Eagle Creek Corps. \nwww.sacentralindiana.org

SUMMARY:Indianapolis Opera: Libiamo! A Renaissance of Taste & Tempo
DESCRIPTION:Fundraiser Volunteers Needed. In honor of over 50 years of opera tradition in our great city\, Indianapolis Opera\, in partnership with the Italian Heritage Society of Indiana\, debuts an all-new fundraising event celebrating music\, design\, & culinary artistry. Join us for a curated night of gourmet Italian cuisine\, fine wine\, glamorous fashion\, and transcendent opera singing amid a gallery of Ferrari sports cars\, Ducati motorcycles\, and Vespas! \nThe mission of Indianapolis Opera is to educate\, inspire\, and entertain through the creation and presentation of quality musical storytelling for our diverse Hoosier community. \nThree shifts of 6 volunteers are needed for ushering\, answering questions\, coat checking\, assisting with registration and gift bag disbursement\, and light cleaning/tidying. The shifts are: 3:45-6pm. 5:45-8pm\, and 7:45-9:30 pm. \nVolunteer on the last shift will be able to enjoy the music of the opera during their shift. The event has a festive atmosphere and decor. \nParking\nThere is street parking available\, and volunteers may use the valet service. \nDress Code\nAll black dressy clothes\, but comfortable shoes since they will be a lot of standing. \nVolunteer Registration\nEmail Amanda Ellery at admin@indyopera.org to sign up and for additional questions.

How do you tell your story? And who will listen? Re-Entry: Building a Life after Incarceration is a theatrical exploration of real women’s histories. Developed from local interviews conducted by Dr. Sally Wasmuth of IU Indianapolis School of Health and Human Sciences\, Re-Entry is the third collaboration between playwrights Kelsey Johnson Lyons and Lauren Briggeman\, Summit’s founding artistic director. Each performance is followed by a panel discussion with interviewees and community members. SUMMARY:Indiana Artisan Spring Marketplace 2026
DESCRIPTION:Known as the state’s premier art and food experience\, the Indiana Artisan Marketplace features two fun-filled days in the spring to engage with artists\, see their work\, watch them create\, taste their foods\, sample their wines\, and buy the best in Hoosier craftsmanship. \nAbout 90 artisans from across Indiana are expected to showcase their original art\, fine craft\, small-batch food\, and locally produced wine\, spirits and other beverages. Many will demonstrate their creative process in their booths. Food and beverage producers will offer samples up and down the food aisle. \nIf art is your fuel and volunteering is your super power\, be part of the team that makes the Indiana Artisan Marketplace a success. The show that has become known as Indiana’s premier art and food experience will be March 28th and 29th in the Agriculture/Horticulture Building at the State Fairgrounds\, 1202 E. 38th St.\, Indianapolis. Help artists from around the state set up\, provide hospitality and customer services to our guests\, and help pack up at the end of the show. DESCRIPTION:All are invited a special THURSDAY General Meeting of the Indianapolis Ambassadors.  \nThe Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA) at Newfields is one of the oldest and largest encyclopedic art museums in the United States\, with a permanent collection of more than 54\,000 works spanning African\, American\, Asian\, and European art. Its strengths include Neo‑Impressionist painting\, Edo‑period Japanese art\, Chinese ceramics and bronzes\, and major holdings of Gauguin\, the Pont‑Aven School\, and J.M.W. Turner. \nNewfields is a 152-acre campus in Indianapolis that includes the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA)\, Oldfields\, and 100 Acres Park. The campus features art galleries\, gardens\, and a historic home. New and exciting opportunities are always being developed and added. We have volunteer shifts that fit any schedule with shifts on weekdays\, evenings\, and weekends. \nAs a special treat\, Indianapolis Ambassadors and their guests are invited to explore the museum and Newfields for free on Thursday afternoon prior to the meeting. \nSpace is limited. Reserve your tickets here. Guests are encouraged to pay what they wish on this day so they can select a free ticket or make a donation if they wish. By reserving their own tickets\, they are able to explore our campus before the meeting as well. \nAfter the meeting\, the group is invited to join up for refreshments at our ‘Out After’ at TBA.
