DESCRIPTION:Known as the state’s premier art and food experience\, the Indiana Artisan Marketplace features two fun-filled days in the spring to engage with artists\, see their work\, watch them create\, taste their foods\, sample their wines\, and buy the best in Hoosier craftsmanship. \nAbout 90 artisans from across Indiana are expected to showcase their original art\, fine craft\, small-batch food\, and locally produced wine\, spirits and other beverages. Many will demonstrate their creative process in their booths. Food and beverage producers will offer samples up and down the food aisle. \nIf art is your fuel and volunteering is your super power\, be part of the team that makes the Indiana Artisan Marketplace a success. The show that has become known as Indiana’s premier art and food experience will be March 28th and 29th in the Agriculture/Horticulture Building at the State Fairgrounds\, 1202 E. 38th St.\, Indianapolis. DESCRIPTION:All are invited a special THURSDAY General Meeting of the Indianapolis Ambassadors.  \nThe Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA) at Newfields is one of the oldest and largest encyclopedic art museums in the United States\, with a permanent collection of more than 54\,000 works spanning African\, American\, Asian\, and European art. Its strengths include Neo‑Impressionist painting\, Edo‑period Japanese art\, Chinese ceramics and bronzes\, and major holdings of Gauguin\, the Pont‑Aven School\, and J.M.W. Turner. \nNewfields is a 152-acre campus in Indianapolis that includes the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA)\, Oldfields\, and 100 Acres Park. The campus features art galleries\, gardens\, and a historic home. New and exciting opportunities are always being developed and added. We have volunteer shifts that fit any schedule with shifts on weekdays\, evenings\, and weekends. \nAs a special treat\, Indianapolis Ambassadors and their guests are invited to explore the museum and Newfields for free on Thursday afternoon prior to the meeting. \nSpace is limited. The Carmel Marathon is one of the top Boston Marathon qualifying events\, it is known for fast times and ideal conditions. This is a fun\, high-energy way to serve our local community while supporting a great event—and as a thank-you from the Carmel Marathon\, we will receive a $200 donation for our organization. \nWe need your help to make our refreshment station cheerful and efficient for the runners who pass by. We will set up tables\, pour drinks of Gatorade and water\, hand them to the runners and walkers as they zoom by\, and then we clean up and break down the tables. DESCRIPTION:Volunteer in the neighborhood at Día del Niño at Be My Neighbor Day!\nVolunteers at the welcome table will greet and welcome guests\, assist guests with check-in\, pass out take home activity bags and collect data from guests. Post Office volunteers will assist guests with writing and “mailing” letters to community helpers. Volunteer in the “tattoo parlor” will assist guests and apply temporary tattoos. Volunteer in the Art Room at Día del Niño at Be My Neighbor Day will assist guests with crafts\, maintain supplies and cleanliness of the art room. Volunteer in the animals/fire truck area are needed to help with line management\, interact with families while they wait\, provide event information and welcome guests to the event. \nHelp Daniel Tiger throughout the day as a Character Assistant. As a Character Assistant you will help the character volunteer get the costume on\, be their eyes and ears and monitor the time the volunteer is in the costume (30 minutes max at a time). This role will also heavily interact with children and their families so the volunteer should be comfortable having family interactions. Have experience in photography? Help them capture Día del Niño at Be My Neighbor Day through photos! Volunteer photographers will roam and take photos throughout the various event areas and activities. DESCRIPTION:Camp Support Volunteer Peace Learning Center | Indianapolis\, IN \nAbout the Role \nSummer Peace Camp is a six-week day camp grounded in social emotional learning\, restorative practices\, and community building for youth ages 6–18. We are seeking reliable weekly volunteers to provide hands-on support during two high-need windows of the camp day\, lunch and after care. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute directly to a positive summer experience for Indianapolis youth. \nWhat You’ll Do \nLunch Support (between 11:30–1:30 PM) \n\nSupervise campers during lunch and the transition to recess or relaxation time\nSupport staff in maintaining a calm\, safe environment\nAssist with lunch distribution as needed\n\nAfter Care Support (between 4:00–6:30 PM) \n\nEngage directly with campers through games\, activities\, and conversation\nSupport a safe and welcoming after care environment\nVolunteers who prefer a behind-the-scenes role can assist with cleanup and next-day prep while staff engage with campers. SUMMARY:Holy Cross Wine & Cheese Festival
DESCRIPTION:Many Volunteers Needed.\nThe Holy Cross Wine & Cheese Festival is a vibrant summer celebration of community\, flavor\, and fun in the heart of Indianapolis. Held on the Sturm Avenue Esplanade\, the festival features wine and cheese tastings\, local vendors\, live music\, Cheese Wars\, a guided Somm Experience\, a Kid’s Zone\, and more.
