In other words\, eligible teachers get the opportunity to shop once a month and fill up a cart with 100% free items for their classrooms and schools! The average monthly shopping cart is over $500 worth of product. We provide everything from books and backpacks to high quality STEM glassware and furniture! Founded in 2000 by retired IPS principal\, Phyllis Imel\, we’ve grown from a small non-profit in a basement serving just a few schools to a multi-program organization serving over 300 schools. We’ve distributed over $6\,33\,231 worth of school supplies just this school year alone! We provide Day Services that include Therapeutic Art\, gardening and Community Exploration. Volunteers can park along Euclid Avenue\, N. Colorado Avenue or neighboring streets. Additional parking is available a short walk away at Forest Manor Park (2000 Forest Manor Ave\, Indianapolis\, Indiana 46218). Bike parking is not guaranteed. Facilities such as restrooms are not provided onsite. Restrooms can be found at nearby public businesses or additional recommendations can be made by KIB staff. \nSAFETY GUIDELINES: KIB takes your safety seriously. Membership\, once attained\, is renewable annually provided requirements are met. The purpose of the IHSAA is to encourage and direct wholesome amateur athletic in the high schools of Indiana.
