Every hour you give contributes directly to the success of this event and helps raise vital funds for ALS care\, advocacy\, and research. \nVolunteering at the Walk to Defeat ALS is also a chance to be part of something bigger than yourself. You’ll meet incredible people—families\, survivors\, and supporters—who are all driven by hope and compassion. By helping them learn to listen\, repair relationships\, and lead with empathy. \nPeace Learning Center works with students\, educators\, and families to keep everyday conflict from becoming lasting harm. It starts in schools\, spreads through neighborhoods\, and reaches into the future\, as these young people become our next generation of leaders. \nThis is what you make possible and what you can help grow. \nThe second annual Better Way Business Breakfast is a critical fundraiser for PLC. At last years’s event\, Indianapolis business and community leaders gathered at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to raise $75\,000 that strengthened our work with youth and schools. \nThis year guests will hear powerful stories from students\, educators\, and community partners about a better way to address youth violence by creating opportunities to listen\, repair relationships\, and lead with empathy. We invite you to be part of the solution our city needs! \nVolunteers will help by greeting guests and helping them find their assigned table. We will provide sheets and a large seating chart on a board. They will also be present to direct guests to bathrooms and PLC staff as needed. They will help elevate the customer service experience to allow our staff to be table hosts. DESCRIPTION:👨‍🔬 JA JobSpark\, Sept 23rd thru 25th\, Indiana State Fairgrounds\nHospitality and Tourism Cluster Volunteers Needed.\nJA JobSpark is a multi-day\, hands-on career expo impacting over 13\,000 Indianapolis eighth graders. JA JobSpark is meant to “spark” an interest in students and get them excited for their future while learning about the action steps and support needed to achieve their goals. This event is divided into 8 Industry Clusters. DESCRIPTION:Volunteer at ZooBoo to help create an environment of fun! This family favorite is offered five nights per week (Wednesday-Sunday)\nSpooktacular Volunteer Opportunities. ZooBoo returns to the Indianapolis Zoo this fall\, and we are seeking volunteers ages 16 and older for another season of family-friendly fun. Volunteer opportunities are available five nights a week—Wednesday through Sunday. As a thank you for your time\, volunteers will receive 2 complimentary general admission Zoo tickets at the end of the shift for a future visit. SUMMARY:Back on My Feet
DESCRIPTION:Back on My Feet is a national nonprofit that supports individuals experiencing homelessness\, poverty\, or addiction by building community\, stability\, and encouragement through early‑morning walk/run groups. Volunteers walk or run alongside residents three mornings per week\, offering connection\, motivation\, and accountability as they work toward employment and housing goals. Come once to try it out or join regularly; every step makes a difference. \nThis is a simple\, meaningful way to make an impact — no running experience required.
