The facilities include the Payne & Mencias Palladium\, a state-of-the-art 1\,500-seat concert hall; the Tarkington\, a 500-seat proscenium theater; and the Studio Theater\, a versatile black box with a seated capacity of 200. DESCRIPTION:The Central Indiana MathCounts competition will be held on Friday\, February 13 at Sycamore School\, and I need volunteers to help with proctoring and scoring tests. \nMost volunteers are needed from 8:45 am until 12:30 pm. Volunteers that want to serve as proctors will need to arrive earlier (~8:30 am) and will be done earlier. No math expertise is required. \nYou are welcome to stay after we are done with the tests to see the final countdown round where the top 16 students face off in a Jeopardy style contest for a trophy and bragging rights. Join us for a curated night of gourmet Italian cuisine\, fine wine\, glamorous fashion\, and transcendent opera singing amid a gallery of Ferrari sports cars\, Ducati motorcycles\, and Vespas! \nThe mission of Indianapolis Opera is to educate\, inspire\, and entertain through the creation and presentation of quality musical storytelling for our diverse Hoosier community. \nThree shifts of 6 volunteers are needed for ushering\, answering questions\, coat checking\, assisting with registration and gift bag disbursement\, and light cleaning/tidying. The shifts are: 3:45-6pm. 5:45-8pm\, and 7:45-9:30 pm. \nVolunteer on the last shift will be able to enjoy the music of the opera during their shift. Many will demonstrate their creative process in their booths. Food and beverage producers will offer samples up and down the food aisle. \nIf art is your fuel and volunteering is your super power\, be part of the team that makes the Indiana Artisan Marketplace a success. DESCRIPTION:All are invited a special THURSDAY General Meeting of the Indianapolis Ambassadors.  \nThe Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA) at Newfields is one of the oldest and largest encyclopedic art museums in the United States\, with a permanent collection of more than 54\,000 works spanning African\, American\, Asian\, and European art. Its strengths include Neo‑Impressionist painting\, Edo‑period Japanese art\, Chinese ceramics and bronzes\, and major holdings of Gauguin\, the Pont‑Aven School\, and J.M.W. Turner. \nNewfields is a 152-acre campus in Indianapolis that includes the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA)\, Oldfields\, and 100 Acres Park. The campus features art galleries\, gardens\, and a historic home. New and exciting opportunities are always being developed and added. We have volunteer shifts that fit any schedule with shifts on weekdays\, evenings\, and weekends. \nAs a special treat\, Indianapolis Ambassadors and their guests are invited to explore the museum and Newfields for free on Thursday afternoon prior to the meeting. \nSpace is limited. Scans tickets and passes to make sure patrons make it into the correct theaters.\nTheater Lead: Versatile role that can help out front at the box office or assist back in the theater.\n*Projectionist: Responsible for starting the films\, adjusting sound\, handling lights. They stay in the theater throughout the whole film and their role cannot overlap with anything else.\nSpecial Events: Volunteers who help with parties including setup\, tear-down\, ticket taking\, etc.\n\n>>>> Registration is Required to Participate <<<<\nHere are a couple of items to keep in mind to help you structure your festival experience. \n\nWe are showing movies at two locations: Kan-Kan Cinema and Dance Kaleidoscope .\nShift times may vary depending on where you’re volunteering. As a Character Assistant you will help the character volunteer get the costume on\, be their eyes and ears and monitor the time the volunteer is in the costume (30 minutes max at a time). This role will also heavily interact with children and their families so the volunteer should be comfortable having family interactions. Have experience in photography? Help them capture Día del Niño at Be My Neighbor Day through photos! Volunteer photographers will roam and take photos throughout the various event areas and activities.
