DESCRIPTION:2022 FINA Swimming World Cup Thursday – Saturday November 3-5\, 2022 at the IU Natatorium – Still some volunteer opportunities available \nThe FINA Swimming World Cup returns to the United States for the first time since 2006 this November 3-5 at the Indiana University Natatorium – IUPUI. As the local partner with USA Swimming\, the IU Natatorium and its volunteer Team Indy will be welcoming approximately 600 of the world’s most elite swimmers to Indianapolis.\nThese elite athletes\, representing approximately 60 countries\, will be competing for prize money on this final leg of the 2022 FINA World Cup Series. The two other series stops will be in Berlin\, Germany (October 21-23) and Toronto\, Canada (October 28-30).\nWe hope to see you at the Nat this fall for this once-in-a-lifetime international racing spectacle. New York St.\, Downtown Indianapolis. \nFollow these instruction for Free Parking at the IU Natatorium:  \n\nAll Indy Ambassadors members should park in the Natatorium Sports Garage designated as XD on theIUPUI Campus Map.\nDrive into the first garage entrance labeled Visitor Section above the entry; pull a ticket upon entry.  This ticket will be needed to exit.\nEnter the Natatorium through the doors on the west side of the first floor of the parking garage.  Greeters will be there to direct members to the meeting location which is the on-deck hospitality room.\nAll attendees will be given a parking voucher to exit the garage.  To exit\, insert the parking ticket that was pulled on entry and then insert the parking voucher as payment.\n\nCome for a tour of the facilitiy and learn about volunteer opportunities coming this Winter and in 2023. You don’t need to know how to swim to be of service. \nAll Indy Ambassadors and Newcomers are welcome. AKA\, time for our Jingle Rails: The Great Western Adventure model train exhibit! We really rely on our incredible volunteers like you to give our guests an experience they’ll never forget. \nJingle Rails will run from Nov. 19-Jan. 16\, and we need around six volunteers a day for that whole time span! The museum is\, however\, closed on Thanksgiving\, Christmas\, and New Year’s Day. \nYour tasks could include helping at the admissions desk\, greeting guests\, answering questions about the trains\, or helping keep our family area organized. There is truly something for everyone\, so get in the holiday spirit\, and come spend some time with us here at the museum! SUMMARY:Celebration of Life Gathering for our friend Richard Clapp - Today - Jan 20 - 4-7P
DESCRIPTION:Regretfully\, we say goodbye to our longtime friend and Ambassador\, Richard Clapp.  He thrived on the service work he participated in with the ambassadors. He was particularly proud to receive recognition as the Volunteer of the year. He once volunteered for 99 events in a year. \nRichard Loring Clapp\, age 85\, of Indianapolis\, Indiana passed away on Monday\, January 9\, 2023. Dick was born on March 10\, 1937 in Montclair\, New Jersey to Dorothy and Wallace L. Clapp Sr. He attended Montclair High School. After high school\, he graduated from Franklin Marshall College. Upon graduation\, he began his career as an educator in the math and sciences. Dick had a passion for the outside\, which included hiking\, camping\, and mountain climbing. He was a competitive runner and swimmer. Dick was an avid traveler and enthusiastically enjoyed sharing memories of his trips to Iceland. After moving to the Indianapolis area\, he was a frequent volunteer for Indy Ambassadors\, a presenter for OASIS\, and the Indianapolis marathons. \nDick is survived by his sister in law\, Nancy J. Clapp; nieces\, Cindy Gerritsen\, Kathy Walker\, Monica Clapp-Cougan\, and Imelda Edgeworth; as well as many nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; and brother\, Wallace L. Clapp Jr. \nA Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Friday\, January 20\, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Feeney Hornak Keystone Mortuary\, 2126 E. 71st Street\, Indianapolis\, IN 46220. A time to share memories will begin at 6:00 PM.

Thanks to efforts of our volunteers\, at this annual event\, we are able to raise money to benefit the continued growth of our mission to provide life-changing treatment and support to those facing unimaginable developmental\, intellectual\, and behavioral challenges throughout the state of Indiana. \nFree dinner and t-shirts will be provided to all volunteers as well as parking validation for those parking at the JW Marriott garage and bring their ticket to check-in. Noble provides Day Services that include Therapeutic Art\, gardening and Community Exploration. Other services include Music Therapy\, Recreational Therapy and opportunities to give back through volunteer work. Noble provides a variety of exciting Summer Day Camps to young people of all abilities. And they give families a break by providing Services. The best part? DESCRIPTION:Noble Services are still in need of volunteers to work Coat Check\, as Restaurant Aides\, as servers and more for their Spring Fund Raiser: “An Evening in the Garden”.\nFriday March 10\, 2023\, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds – Expo Hall & West Pavilion \nOn Friday\, March 10\, Noble will host its annual “Noble Evening in the Garden” event at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and we’re still in need of volunteers.  This event is a preview to the Indiana Flower & Patio Show and features live music\, a big silent auction\, restaurants with tastings\, magicians\, psychics\, and open bars.  These are scattered throughout the West Pavilion and Expo Hall among the beautiful gardens created for the Flower & Patio Show.  The following volunteer positions are open: \n\nCoat Check (6:30-11:30 p.m.) – hand and retrieve guest’s coats – 1-2 positions open\nBeer Server (7-11 p.m.) – serve beer – 2 positions open – MUST have valid alcohol server’s license (we can give you a link to apply)\nRestaurant Set-up (3:30-7 p.m.) – carry in supplies & help restaurants with set-up – 5 positions open\nRestaurant Aide (7-11 p.m.) – get extra supplies for restaurants & pick up trash guests leave behind during event – 6 positions open\nAmFund Table (7-11 p.m.) – assist AmFund staff member with selling trips – 2 positions open\n\nVolunteers must be 21 or over. \nSign-Up Today with Jackie Johnson\, Volunteer Manager Email: J.Johnson@mynoblelife.org.\nPhone: 317-375-4231  \nGet Involved TODAY!
