DESCRIPTION:All are invited monthly General Meeting of the Indianapolis Ambassadors.\nButler University offers a diverse range of programs and opportunities for staff\, faculty\, and students to learn and engage with the Indianapolis community in a responsible and mutually beneficial manner. \nWe’ll be meeting in Robertson Hall where we’ll be introduced to Butler’s Indianapolis Community Requirement\, a core curriculum requirement that mandates all students to participate in sustained community engagement as part of their coursework. We’ll have the opportunity to share about our organization and discuss potential collaborations . \nAs a special treat\, we’ll be spending an hour at the Holcomb Observatory and Planetarium. We’ll be given a tour\, shown a short movie\, and\, if the weather cooperates\, we’ll gaze into the depths of space through their mighty telescopes. \nSpace is limited. RSVP on Meetup today. DESCRIPTION:Coats for Kids distribution will be held on November 8\, and thousands of children from across Central Indiana can come on this very special day to pick out a free warm winter coat\, scarf\, hat\, and gloves. Coats for Kids will be held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in the Blue Ribbon Pavilion from 8am-1pm\, and is a partnership between The Salvation Army of Central Indiana with WTHR and Classic Cleaners. \nWe need your help to make sure that the thousands of children who show up will leave with warm winter coats. We invite you to assist us in one of the following various roles: greet families\, help check in families\, monitor lines\, restock coats\, help children select a coat\, and assist with tear down.
