DESCRIPTION:Camp Support Volunteer Peace Learning Center | Indianapolis\, IN \nAbout the Role \nSummer Peace Camp is a six-week day camp grounded in social emotional learning\, restorative practices\, and community building for youth ages 6–18. We are seeking reliable weekly volunteers to provide hands-on support during two high-need windows of the camp day\, lunch and after care. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute directly to a positive summer experience for Indianapolis youth. \nWhat You’ll Do \nLunch Support (between 11:30–1:30 PM) \n\nSupervise campers during lunch and the transition to recess or relaxation time\nSupport staff in maintaining a calm\, safe environment\nAssist with lunch distribution as needed\n\nAfter Care Support (between 4:00–6:30 PM) \n\nEngage directly with campers through games\, activities\, and conversation\nSupport a safe and welcoming after care environment\nVolunteers who prefer a behind-the-scenes role can assist with cleanup and next-day prep while staff engage with campers. Just let us know your preference\n\nTime Commitment \nVolunteers are needed Monday through Friday for one or more weeks during the camp season\, June 1st through July 24th. DESCRIPTION:Volunteers are needed to help us celebrate the Opera through our 16th annual fundraiser and an experience like no other…\nLobster Palooza!\nLobster Palooza! is an evening of fun\, fabulous food\, and dancing with Indy’s best revelers!  We start off the evening with entertainment and cocktail hour\, followed by a true East Coast Lobster Bake!  Also featured is our “Fund-A-Need” activity to raise money for our Education Outreach fund\, which brings opera at no cost to Indianapolis Public Schools. \nLobster Palooza! is attended by over 200 guests and supports the mission of the Indianapolis Opera. This is a major fundraiser for the Opera Company.  Volunteers would be helping bring opera to Indianapolis and the Central Indiana area.  The Indianapolis Opera has an extensive Education and Outreach department that reaches out to thousands of children. Pennsylvania Street\, Indianapolis\, IN 46205\n(right in the heart of the historic Meridian Kessler Neighborhood)\n\nSHIFT/JOB DETAILS:\n\nGreeters/Appetizer Passers/ Clean-Up During Cocktail Hour -  We need 6-8 people for this job. Shift time is 4-6pm.\nDinner Service:  We need volunteers to assist our kitchen staff/ caterer with serving our guests. These volunteers will also help clear rubbish from tables and keep them tidy. You will also offer our guests excellent customer service by offering water\, and making sure they are comfortable. Shift time is 5:30 – 8:00pm.\nClean-up Crew: You will be helping clean along with the kitchen/catering crew. DESCRIPTION:FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic and Elanco present The Sniffin’ Snout Walkabout – a fun and casual community dog walk and local business scavenger hunt. Gather a team (up to four adults\, any number of kids\, and one dog) to follow the clues for activations and treats at each business stop before finding the next destination. Meet back at the FACE clinic parking lot for cornhole games\, food and ice cream\, doggie paw print art\, prizes\, and more. The route is approximately 1.7 – 2 miles. \nWe are looking for volunteers to assist with staffing the multiple activations at participating businesses in the Windsor Park neighborhood along the event route. \nVolunteers needed for setup between 2-5:30pm and also to work the event from 5-8pm at various activations and within the clinic lot for the post-event fun between 7-8pm. \nIf you would like to volunteer\, please contact Aaron at aaronk@faceanimalclinic.org \nEvent details: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/facelow-costanimalclinic/event/ssw26/

SUMMARY:Holy Cross Wine & Cheese Festival
DESCRIPTION:Many Volunteers Needed.\nThe Holy Cross Wine & Cheese Festival is a vibrant summer celebration of community\, flavor\, and fun in the heart of Indianapolis. Held on the Sturm Avenue Esplanade\, the festival features wine and cheese tastings\, local vendors\, live music\, Cheese Wars\, a guided Somm Experience\, a Kid’s Zone\, and more. The Festival is the neighborhood’s signature annual fundraiser\, bringing about 1\,500 people to the near eastside each summer.  Funds raised are dedicated to community infrastructure projects that focus on safety improvements\, such as installing bike racks\, painting curbs\, creating bump outs\, and improving paths to ensure our neighborhood is safe and accessible for everyone. \nAs a thank you\, volunteers will receive 4 tickets (redeemable for beverages at the bar\, wine samples\, cheese trays\, or bowls of mac-n-cheese)\, a Holy Cross Wine & Cheese t-shirt\, a small thank you gift\, and food & refreshments at our training! \nVolunteer here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B4CAEAF28AAFAC61-62555219-2026#/
