DESCRIPTION:Indy Parks\, in conjunction with the Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources and the Arbor Day Foundation\, are planning FREE tree “plant at home” giveaways with “to go” food program meals on Thursday April 1\, 2021 to coincide with the Indy Parks Food Program at: \nChristian Park\, Thursday April 1\, 2021 4200 English Ave\, Indianapolis\, IN\nShift: 3:30pm – 6:00pm Four Volunteers Needed Parking available in Christian Park \nGO to INDY PARKS VOLUNTEER sign up form to Volunteer:\nhttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScl7ZrCJWQJ-t3vpHXP862G7ADH_pWKCZT4AYt2rEMAn_xILA/viewform?usp=sf_link \nVolunteers will help as greeters/unload/hand out trees at these drive-thru/outdoor events. The shift times includes the requested arrive time of 1/2 hour prior to the tree giveaway times\, to get set up and receive a brief overview by the Arbor Foundation on site lead \nEach volunteer will get to take home a free Burr Oak\, with tree planting instructions\, at the end of their shift. \nIndy Parks will ensure all City/County Health and CDC Covid19 safety guidelines are adhered to\, and will provide masks\, gloves and sanitization supplies. Today we will be packing food boxes\, repackaging produce\, making boxes and putting boxes of food into the trunks of the vehicles of people needing food.\nThere are only 15 Volunteer Positions to fill. – SIGN UP TODAY! – Together Indy Ambassadors can do this.\nGO to: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/508084da5a628a0fa7-indy Check to be a Food Pantry Helper \nNote: Gloves\, hand sanitizing stations and social distancing will be practiced and MASKS need to be wore the entire shift. Dress comfortably in layers for outdoor work. Open toe shoes not permitted for safety reasons.\nVolunteer Directions: To avoid the lines waiting for food\, Go East on 30th Street to bypass the line and turn RIGHT at the driveway. Tell the security guard you are a volunteer. Turn Right into the volunteer parking lot. Go up the ramp and enter through door #4.
