VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:\nVolunteers must be 16 years of age or older by the day of the event for which they are volunteering; however\, an exception can be made for those participating as part of an organized and supervised group such as Boy Scouts\, Girl Scouts\, sporting teams\, etc.\nThose volunteers younger than 18 MUST have a parent or legal guardian complete our Parental Permission Form. \nDress Code: Volunteers are required to wear the provided volunteer t-shirt with khaki or black pants\, shorts or capris and comfortable sneakers. (Dress code may vary for specific parade volunteer roles.)\nOnly those volunteering will be allowed to partake in the refreshments\, snacks and t-shirts.\nChildren\, family\, friends or pets are NOT allowed to accompany the volunteer during any of their volunteer shifts at any of our events (this includes Salesforce & JP Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day and Rookie Run). If a child wants to volunteer\, he or she must be 16 years of age or older and register. (See above) \nVOLUNTEER GUIDELINES:\nCODE OF CONDUCT: Treat everyone (visitors\, participants\, staff\, and other volunteers) with courtesy. Never discriminate for age\, gender\, or race. Remain calm and level-headed in all situations. If problems occur\, please contact a 500 Festival staff member\, your team leader or a committee member. We are there to assist you.\nSHIFT COMPLETION: Please be sure to complete your entire assigned shift. Washington St. Downtown Indianapolis\nThe Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art houses an extensive collection of visual arts by indigenous peoples of the Americas\, as well as Western American paintings and sculptures collected by businessman and philanthropist Harrison Eiteljorg.\nLearn about their collection and different volunteer opportunities. \nIndy Ambassadors and Newcomers are all welcome. Parking tickets for the Eiteljorg underground parking garage will be validated for free parking for all those who attend the meeting. \nThere are no fees to join. Carmel Dr.\, Carmel\, IN. \nTuesday May 10th and Wednesday May 11th\, 2022 11:00am – 5:00pm – 6 volunteers are needed each day for Setup\nShift duties includes assisting artists with bring in their artwork & hanging the art work artwork at their booth. Also assitance constructing a rope grid on piple and drape convention style booth. (Knowledge of how to tie a clove hitch knot is of benefit to the instrallation of the booths. ) Please bring pliers for zip tie locking Training will be provided. \nThursday\, May 12th and Friday May 13\, 2020 Shift 4:00pm – 10:00pm and Saturday May 14\, 2022 Shift 2:00pm to 10:00pm 6 volunteers needed each shiftEvent volunteers will be assisting with registration desks. DESCRIPTION:All Indy Ambassadors and Friends and Family: Volunteers are needed for Saturday June 25 & Sunday June 26th for the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art’s “30th Annual “Indian Market & Festival” 9:30am to 5:30pm on the grounds of the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art\, 500 West Washington St.\, Indianapolis IN \nJoin us this summer for an Indian Market unlike any other. We’re celebrating a defining capstone project for the museum\, the reopening of our new Native American galleries on June 25\, during the first in-person market since 2019. Shop for jewelry\, pottery\, paintings\, beadwork and more from more than 140 artists from across the United States and Canada. Enjoy cultural performances including music\, dance and storytelling\, and family art-making activities while eating fry bread and other food from local vendors. \nUSE this Sigup link to get registered to help: https://signup.com/go/uYrMSsy \nAll volunteer roles and shifts are shown at the Signup site. There are 70 different shift-role combinations on the Saturday & Sunday\, along with a Training Day and more limited shifts on Thursday 6/23 and Friday 6/24. Interested volunteers may sign up for more than one shift\, more than one day\, and even more than one shift per day but should be aware some volunteer roles will be out of doors in the summer heat. It should be apparent from the Job Description on the Signup site which roles are outdoors and which are in. \nDress is casual – again\, some volunteers will be posted outdoors. We provide T-shirts and/or lanyards and badges to volunteers.
