DESCRIPTION:Youngsters Take Over Downtown Indy!\nRookie Run is a non-competitive fun run for children ages 3–10 that takes place annually in downtown Indianapolis\, Indiana. The run is part of the 500 Festival Kids’ Day Fun Run\, which aims to promote fitness\, healthy living\, and community involvement. \nIndiana’s youngest runners are hitting the street during the Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run. This allows children the fun opportunity to get active and experience the excitement of a running event\, complete with a start and finish line production\, cheering section\, participant bib\, and finisher medal. \nThe Rookie Run will take place at Kids’ Day\, Indiana’s largest free outdoor festival for kids! The Salesforce and JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day attracts thousands to Monument Circle on May 11\, featuring over 40 exhibitors and tons of fun\, educational and interactive activities. \nROOKIE RUN DETAILS:\nRookie Run takes place in downtown Indianapolis\, one block north of Monument Circle at Ohio and Meridian streets. Race distances are set based on a child’s age and races will be run in a series of heats to ensure a safe race experience. DESCRIPTION:The AES 500 Festival Parade is one of the largest in the country and is considered one of the top three parades in the United States\, along with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. The parade route takes a U-shape down Pennsylvania Street\, across Washington Street\, and up Meridian Street through Monument Circle. The parade includes floats\, marching bands\, balloons\, local celebrities\, and the 33 drivers. Over 200\,000 spectators will line the streets of downtown Indianapolis to witness the extravagant floats\, enormous helium balloons\, renowned figures\, esteemed guests\, top-notch bands\, and all 33 Indy 500 drivers in action. \nThe 2024 AES 500 Festival Parade will take place on Saturday\, May 25\, 2024\, in downtown Indianapolis. The parade festivities will begin at 11:45 AM\, with the parade starting at noon. DESCRIPTION:A 33-acre urban farm\, the Fishers AgriPark pays homage to Fishers’ agricultural roots\, while inspiring future generations of farmers\, scientists\, agronomists\, robotics engineers\, chefs\, and more. \nThe AgriPark features public fields and gardens\, managed by Fishers Parks. In the gardens\, residents have access to seasonal produce and cut flowers to take home at no charge. Along with providing you-pick opportunities for residents\, an animal area gives guests the change to encounter traditional livestock and farm animals\, including cows\, a horse\, ducks\, and sheep. Open fields\, a nature play area\, constructed in partnership with Reynolds Farm Equipment\, and a mud kitchen provide discovery and play spaces for our youngest residents. A programming barn serves as an educational space for both public and school-based programs with Hamilton Southeastern Schools.
