DESCRIPTION:The Indy Summer Cup Returns to the IU Natatorium from June 25 – 28\nGreetings\, Indy Ambassadors! \nThank you so much for your support of the recent USA Swimming Toyota National Championships at the IU Natatorium. We received wonderful reviews about the performance of our volunteer team thanks to incredible volunteers like you! You are appreciated! \nIn a bit over two weeks\, the Indiana University Natatorium at Indianapolis will welcome numerous Olympians and accomplished high school athletes to the 2025 Indy Summer Cup. This elite competition will be held from Wednesday – Saturday\, June 25-28\, and will begin on Wednesday evening with the women’s 800 freestyle and men’s 1500 freestyle events followed by three days of prelims-finals competition at 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM from Thursday – Saturday. This year’s Indy Summer Cup will feature approximately 400 of the country’s most accomplished athletes. \nThe Local Organizing Committee is currently recruiting a talented volunteer team to support the athletes competing in this meet and our visiting coaches and fans during their time in Indy. A variety of volunteer positions are available including on-deck timers. All volunteers will receive complimentary parking and meals during their shifts plus the opportunity for fun and fellowship. The Julian Center is the largest domestic violence shelter in Indiana. The agency’s mission is to help victims of domestic abuse become survivors through supportive services\, education\, and cooperative partnerships that foster hope\, promote self-sufficiency\, and rebuilds lives. This is a major fundraiser for the Opera Company.  Volunteers would be helping bring opera to Indianapolis and the Central Indiana area.  The Indianapolis Opera has an extensive Education and Outreach department that reaches out to thousands of children. Shift time is 4-6pm.\nDinner Service:  We need volunteers to assist our kitchen staff/ caterer with serving our guests. These volunteers will also help clear rubbish from tables and keep them tidy. You will also offer our guests excellent customer service by offering water\, and making sure they are comfortable. Shift time is 5:30 – 8:00pm.\nClean-up Crew: You will be helping clean along with the kitchen/catering crew. DESCRIPTION:Fishing Volunteers Needed! Have a few hours of fun helping children learn the joy of catching fish.\nThe DNR State Fishin’ Pond\, started in 2006\, gives children ages 5-17 the chance to fish for free during the State Fair. Each year\, thousands of kids fish at the pond. For many of them\, it is their first fishing experience. The program would not be such a success without the help of wonderful volunteers. \nRegistration for State Fair Fishin’ Pond shifts occurs from mid-May through mid-August. Would you like to volunteer? DNR recruits hundreds of people to help during the fair. Volunteers receive free admission to the fair\, a free T-shirt\, and the opportunity to fish with kids for a few hours at the pond. If you don’t like touching worms\, getting fishy\, or standing in the sun\, we also have other volunteer needs.
