DESCRIPTION:Volunteers are needed to help us celebrate the Opera through our 16th annual fundraiser and an experience like no other…\nLobster Palooza!\nLobster Palooza! is an evening of fun\, fabulous food\, and dancing with Indy’s best revelers!  We start off the evening with entertainment and cocktail hour\, followed by a true East Coast Lobster Bake!  Also featured is our “Fund-A-Need” activity to raise money for our Education Outreach fund\, which brings opera at no cost to Indianapolis Public Schools. \nLobster Palooza! is attended by over 200 guests and supports the mission of the Indianapolis Opera. This is a major fundraiser for the Opera Company.  Volunteers would be helping bring opera to Indianapolis and the Central Indiana area.  The Indianapolis Opera has an extensive Education and Outreach department that reaches out to thousands of children. Pennsylvania Street\, Indianapolis\, IN 46205\n(right in the heart of the historic Meridian Kessler Neighborhood)\n\nSHIFT/JOB DETAILS:\n\nGreeters/Appetizer Passers/ Clean-Up During Cocktail Hour -  We need 6-8 people for this job. Shift time is 4-6pm.\nDinner Service:  We need volunteers to assist our kitchen staff/ caterer with serving our guests. These volunteers will also help clear rubbish from tables and keep them tidy. You will also offer our guests excellent customer service by offering water\, and making sure they are comfortable. Shift time is 5:30 – 8:00pm.\nClean-up Crew: You will be helping clean along with the kitchen/catering crew. Duties will include clearing tables after dinner and assisting with general cleaning duties in the Hall. 6-8 people are needed and the shift time is 7:30-10pm\n\nVolunteer sign-up:\n\nVolunteers may contact Kara Davis:  admin@indyopera.org.\n\nVolunteer Requirements:\n\nVolunteers should be able to stand and do light clean-up work for a two hour time frame.\nHelpers wear khaki or black pants and comfortable shoes\, (no open-toe shoes).  Aprons will be provided.\n\nVolunteer Benefits:\n\nA complementary meal (NOT lobster) is provided.\nVolunteers receive a volunteer T-shift.\nAppreciation from the arts community.\n\nParking instruction:\n\nThere is street parking on Pennsylvania.\nThose arriving earlier would likely have a place to park in the Basile Opera Center lot.  However\, it only holds 25 cars.\n\n\nContact Kara Davis:  admin@indyopera.org

DESCRIPTION:FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic and Elanco present The Sniffin’ Snout Walkabout – a fun and casual community dog walk and local business scavenger hunt. Gather a team (up to four adults\, any number of kids\, and one dog) to follow the clues for activations and treats at each business stop before finding the next destination. Meet back at the FACE clinic parking lot for cornhole games\, food and ice cream\, doggie paw print art\, prizes\, and more. SUMMARY:Holy Cross Wine & Cheese Festival
DESCRIPTION:Many Volunteers Needed.\nThe Holy Cross Wine & Cheese Festival is a vibrant summer celebration of community\, flavor\, and fun in the heart of Indianapolis. Held on the Sturm Avenue Esplanade\, the festival features wine and cheese tastings\, local vendors\, live music\, Cheese Wars\, a guided Somm Experience\, a Kid’s Zone\, and more. DESCRIPTION:Ushers and Bartenders Needed.\nDiscover the joy\, the magic\, and the drama of the IndyFringe Theatre Festival in Indianapolis\, presented by Everwise and IF Theatre. This annual celebration of the performing arts transforms the Mass Ave Cultural District for 11 continuous days during the summer and features genre-defying performances of every kind. The IndyFringe Festival is one of the Midwest’s most vital and vibrant arts events. \nHowever\, we need your help! With more than 200 volunteer shifts to fill throughout our 11-day festival\, we literally can’t do this without you! \nEveryone is welcome\, regardless of whether or not you’ve attended an IF Theatre production or been to the IndyFringe festival before. If you don’t have that license\, please reach out to volunteer@indyfringe.org and we can connect you with the right resources to obtain one. \nContact for Additional Questions\nFor all questions not covered in this posting or at the Registration Link above\, please send email to volunteer@indyfringe.org \nVolunteer Benefits\n\nFree entry to shows during a scheduled shift (space permitting)\nEach shift worked earns a token that will allow volunteers to purchase ticket for a show not during a scheduled shift\, and tokens can be used to buy tickets both for the volunteer and for their guests\nIndyFringe T-shirt\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nSitting\nStanding for up to 45 minutes at a time\nComfort working outdoors in typical August weather for some positions (Some work will occur indoors in air-conditioned spaces—if this is a health requirement\, please reach out to volunteer@indyfringe.org for more information)\nAll venues are ADA accessible\, though volunteers should be prepared to use an elevator or lift in some cases\n\nDress Code\nComfortable shoes and shorts/skirts/pants\, IndyFringe t-shirt (this year or a previous year for returning volunteers)\, IndyFringe-supplied volunteer vest. \nParking Instructions\nAs the IndyFringe festival takes place at multiple venues along Mass Ave\, there is no designated parking area\, and at least some of the most convenient spots do require payment. \nWe recommend that volunteers allot an extra 15-30 minutes to find parking spots and walk to their shift locations\, particularly those who might be unfamiliar with the Mass Ave neighborhood. \nOn February 4th\, 2026\, Communications Director Angel Akinleye interviewed IF Theatre Board member\, Mike Javorsky

DESCRIPTION:Volunteers Needed for Parking Direction\, Course Marshaling\, and more.\nThis impactful 5k aims to raise awareness of the devastating affects that domestic violence has on our families and communities.  ICADV works for the prevention and elimination of domestic violence – until the violence ends.  Over the past 22 years\, ICADV has raised over $400\,000 to support survivors with resources and programs that increase their safety and stability including legal\, housing and economic supports. \nWant to support ICADV but aren’t able to race?
