DESCRIPTION:This month’s general meeting will be held in the Fountain Square Theatre. There is FREE parking at the Fountain Square public parking lot at the corner of Shelby and Morris St behind the Forte building or Free parking on the streets\, with a two-hour restriction from 9am to 6pm M-F.\nAfter our general meeting\, A representative with the Fountain Square Association will give a presentation about the history of the area and take us on a tour. After the meeting\, we will have a social at La Margarita Mexican Restaurant\, which is within walking distance. La Margarita Menu Fountain Square is located at the intersection of Virginia Ave\, Shelby and Prospect Streets. Fountain Square was the first commercial historic district in Indiana\, its existing buildings span more than a century of development from 1871 to the present. Today\, Fountain Square is one of the six Indianapolis Cultural Districts and is linked to the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. Newcomers are welcome. There are no fees to join. The Indy Ambassadors have secured an opportunity to assist them in that mission by working with them during one of them upcoming Food Pantry\, Drive-Thru distributions. Volunteers will load cars with pre-boxed food and direct traffic for the contactless\, drive-thru distribution. \nWhy is this project important? The streets of Indianapolis will be transformed into an immersive Alice in Wonderland experience. Solve clues and win prizes! Costumes are optional\, but heartily encouraged.\nUse the Event Comments below to form groups. We have two groups of 6 already and we would love to see more Indianapolis Ambassador groups enjoying this unique team-based adventure. \n\nGroups decide to start between 9AM and 2PM. DESCRIPTION:On May 3rd\, the Indianapolis Ambassadors will have a great opportunity to learn all about Indy’s Cultural Trail.  Ethan Hochstein\, Director of Horticulture and Landscaping\, will meet us outside the Indianapolis Cultural Trail Inc Headquarters to enlighten us on the significance of Indy’s Cultural Trail. The office is at 132 W. Walnut St. \nThe Indianapolis Cultural Trail is an 8-mile world class urban bike and pedestrian path in downtown Indianapolis. The trail seamlessly connects neighborhoods\, cultural districts and entertainment amenities while serving as the downtown hub for central Indiana’s vast greenway system. \nThe general meeting will be conducted with limited seating. You can bring a lawn chair\, if desired. There will be a 2 block walking tour along the Cultural Trail.  There are 8 benches along the route for 2-3 people to sit on at a time. \nCome learn how our Cultural Trail has helped make Indianapolis a preferred destination city for many tour companies. \nThere is ample paid street parking on Capitol Ave.\, and the Scottish Rite Cathedral has permitted us to use the North end of their parking lot. \nIf needed\, a rain date has been scheduled for the following day. \nAll are welcome!
