DESCRIPTION:Join us at the historic City Market in downtown Indianapolis at 6 p.m. for snacks and refreshments. Attendees can enter through any door then head upstairs to the North Plaza where the meeting will be held. Then at 6:30 Joe Perin\, director of public relations for the Indianapolis City Market\, will share stories of the market’s history\, architecture\, and upcoming events. And as an extra bonus\, Joe will then lead us on a tour through the mysterious catacombs underneath the market. The City Market has requested a $2 donation per person for our catacombs tour. The normal fee for such a tour is ten to twelve dollars. After the meeting\, we will adjourn to a local watering hole for our post-meeting social.

DESCRIPTION:The Indianapolis Ambassadors August General Meeting will be at IndyFringe\, located in the Mass Ave Theatre and Culture District of Indianapolis.   Our hosts will give us an update on their planned productions and activites\, and their need for volunteers.  IndyFringe works with artists of any experience level\, style\, ethnicity or background.  IndyFringe exists to encourage\, support and assist these independent artists by providing an accessible\, affordable outlet that draws diverse elements of the community together and inspires creative experience through the arts.  Come and find out more about this unique group! \nThe social gathering will start at 6 pm and the education portion will begin at 6:30 pm.

DESCRIPTION:The December Monthly Meeting of the Indy Ambassadors will be at the Phoenix Theatre\,  705 N. Illinois St in Indianapolis at 6 pm. The Phoenix Theatre is a 35-year-old professional\, not-for-profit theatre company with a new 21\,000-square-foot facility that houses two stages\, a visual arts gallery\, and is the home to four smaller not-for-profit performing arts groups.  Phoenix is the only performing arts center and theatrical production company in Indianapolis devoted solely to producing contemporary work. \nA parking lot is available about half a block north of the theater on Illinois (which is one-way north) on the west side of the street.  Parking is free.  Once the lot is full\, there is plenty of metered parking around the building.  Meters are free after 6 pm.
