DESCRIPTION:The Indiana Medical History Museum sits inside the Old Pathology Building on the former grounds of Central State Hospital in Indianapolis. As the oldest surviving free‑standing pathology laboratory in the United States\, it preserves the early era of scientific psychiatry and medical research. Visitors can explore original spaces such as the autopsy room\, anatomical museum\, teaching amphitheater\, and early clinical laboratories\, all largely intact from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. \nRegistration is full. DESCRIPTION:An original short play from Summit Performance Indianapolis – FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC \nAbout the Play: Where do you start after release from prison? How do you tell your story? And who will listen? Re-Entry: building a life after incarceration is a theatrical exploration of real women’s histories. Developed from local interviews conducted by Dr. Sally Wasmuth of IU Indianapolis School of Health and Human Sciences\, Re-Entry is the tenth original one-act from Summit Performance Indianapolis and the third collaboration between playwrights Kelsey Johnson Lyons and Lauren Briggeman–Summit’s founding artistic director. Each performance is followed by a panel discussion with interviewees and community members. DESCRIPTION:All are invited a special THURSDAY General Meeting of the Indianapolis Ambassadors.  \nThe Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA) at Newfields is one of the oldest and largest encyclopedic art museums in the United States\, with a permanent collection of more than 54\,000 works spanning African\, American\, Asian\, and European art. Its strengths include Neo‑Impressionist painting\, Edo‑period Japanese art\, Chinese ceramics and bronzes\, and major holdings of Gauguin\, the Pont‑Aven School\, and J.M.W. Turner. \nNewfields is a 152-acre campus in Indianapolis that includes the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA)\, Oldfields\, and 100 Acres Park. The campus features art galleries\, gardens\, and a historic home. New and exciting opportunities are always being developed and added. We have volunteer shifts that fit any schedule with shifts on weekdays\, evenings\, and weekends. \nAs a special treat\, Indianapolis Ambassadors and their guests are invited to explore the museum and Newfields for free on Thursday afternoon prior to the meeting. \nSpace is limited. Reserve your tickets here. Guests are encouraged to pay what they wish on this day so they can select a free ticket or make a donation if they wish.
